As result Azad Jammu & Kashmir Lawyers struggle and just demand Azad Jammu & Kashmir Legal Practioners Bar Council Act 1995(Act xxx of 1995) was passed by the Azad Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly.

The First Election of Azad Jammu & Kashmir Bar Council was held on 8th November, 1997 and the Council became functional in January 1998,

6) Azad Jammu & Kashmir Bar Council lawyers Foundation Rules 2008
7) Azad Jammu & Kashmir Bar Association recognition Rules

Bar Council has not only provided a state level organized elected form for the lawyers community but have done a lot for the welfare of the community and played very Vital role for Kashmir movement, administration justice, independence of judiciary and fundamental rights of the citizens.
