The Azad Jammu & Kashmir Bar Council is a statutory body for the protection of the rights, interests and privileges of practicing Lawyers in Azad Jammu & Kashmir. The Council also regulates the conduct of Lawyers and helps in the administration of justice.
The legal community of Azad Jammu & Kashmir comprising advocates of the Lower Courts, High Court, and Supreme Court is duly licensed and regulated under the framework of the Bar Council.
Historically, the lawyers of Azad Jammu & Kashmir have played a vital and courageous role in promoting the supremacy of the Constitution and strengthening democratic and judicial institutions. Their contributions have extended beyond courtrooms through practical efforts, principled advocacy, and public service aimed at ensuring justice and accountability.
As Chairman of the Executive Committee, I remain confident that our legal fraternity will continue to uphold the highest traditions of the profession, work with integrity and dedication, and stand firm in defense of the supremacy of law and the Constitution.
